Roadtrip!
Sorry I have not updated Bam-Bam's blog lately. I've been very busy this summer, but I'll try to catch up on some of the things that have been going on with Bam-Bam and Kona.
A couple of months ago Chris and I took a roadtrip to Alton, Ill(near St. Louis) to visit some friends and we decided to take the dogs along with us. It was about a 4 and a half hour drive but the dogs held up real well. I think they had a good time out there, on their little mini vacation.
We stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Alton called The Jackson House. It's a really neat historic old house, but behind they house they also have suites in a rustic barn and also in "The Cave" which is a suite built into the side of a hill. We stayed in "The Cave", it was really cool. Lots of room for us and the dogs, and they got to have the whole place to themselves when we were out.

Sounds like everyone had a wonderful time on the roadtrip. The Bed and Breakfast looks so relaxing. Bammie makes new friends everywhere he goes. The new banner is just too cute. I love it 
Hi! Your pug is reaaalllyy gorgeous! And Bam Bam is exactly what I want to call my pug - that is, when I get one lol I just wanted to ask you, does your pug have any health problems? Would it be suitable to leave them outside or are they more of an 'inside dog'? Do they have adorable personalities? By the looks of yours I bet they do. Anyway, keep blogging - I want to hear more about the adventures of Bam Bam

Hi Victoria, thanks for stopping by the blog. Pugs make great pets, they are so sweet and adorable and very smart. Bam-Bam is my first pug and before we got him I did a lot of research on the breed so that I would know what to expect. I recommend reading "Pugs for Dummies", there is a lot of good information in there.
Bam-Bam for the most part is a pretty healthy dog, he does however suffer from allergies and ear and wrinkle infections and his ears and wrinkles have to be cleaned out daily. These problems are not all that uncommon with pugs.
Pugs are definitaly house dogs. They are not built to withstand hot and cold. Lately it has been very hot here and we haven't even been able to take Bam-Bam for walks in the evening because he over heats easily and is highly susceptible to heatstroke. And they just have enough for on them to do well in the winter, their bellies are completely bald, though they still manage to shed a lot, lol.
Anyways, I wish you the best of luck with a pug!

WOw, that Bed and Breafkast looks awesome! And the cave looks really cool. That's great that they let you take the dogs!
